with a search for the World.
It’s not that I didn’t understand the ideas and stories that
came to mind. No, I understood them, felt the meanings, and could easily catch the feeling they carried.
But the image was not enough for those around him
it had to be explained.
the
ability to describe anartistic image
in words is regarded as a sign ofprofessionalism. As if a god-gifted
doctor who cannot describe in words his craft
suddenly is not regarded as a doctor.
1.
Avast number of theories, а highly complicated terminology and
sociallyacknowledged experts seem to replace the art itself, and the patient eventuallybecomes the doctor.
2.
Who saidthat a picture is a less valuable expression of meaning than
a word? Meanwhile, answers to our questions and clues to them are scattered literallyeverywhere.
3.
Communicationwith art is a fascinating and easy process, if you do
not lean onimposed views. The creator himself has his own questions about art.
When I decided to figure it out, I discovered that clues were not only left in the works of art themselves and in the works of other artists in other disciplines, but also in a huge number of them, if not the same, then they echo each other, give a common rhythm and rhyme. Some unknown source emits streams of information that people hear and embody, about which they cannot remain silent, but also cannot explain. Probably, the call of this source is what is usually called inspiration.
Is it worth explaining this call and, in general, inspiration? I have a feeling of belonging to this call, but when I try to describe its speech, it begins to crumble, turns into something incoherent, like baby babble. Therefore, instead of the call itself, I try to describe the ways to find it.
Modern theories endow art with the obligatory attributes of socio-political activism. No attribute - no art. An artist may indeed be a performer of a private or public order, but this situation reveals the practical aspects of art and says little about the creative impulse itself. Classical theories of art, fiction and philosophy provide many interesting stories and explanations. Behind the symbols, the outlines of meanings appear, but each clarified one opens up new forks and turns. As a result, modern and classical theories give us a choice between reduction and incompleteness, which of course cannot satisfy. My search is not complete and is
largely associated with pure intuition. It either gains new impulse and inspiration, and light is visible ahead, then it gives way to despair, and I wander through an endless dark labyrinth. But the original call continues to sound, and I continue to find more and more new clues, as
if there is some kind of invisible thread that the authors of the past held on to, leading somewhere away from the labyrinth of ignorance. And if you can grab onto this thread, then you can also find its beginning - the Source?
Does the path lead to the Source or away from it? Is there an end to this journey and is there a beginning? Are an end and a beginning necessary? What feeds what? Are there answers to our questions? Is there any point in searching for meaning?
As I progressed in my research into creative processes, I discovered a huge number of like-minded people who left clues in their works and works.
At some point, the conviction appeared and began to grow stronger that the final Object of any
creative search is the same for everyone. Whether it is possible to call this an Item, I don’t know.
Again the need arises to find a word for the image, and again the speech falls apart. The
image is clear, the word escapes, but we can name the areas to which
it belongs - love, life, knowledge.
